With broken hearts, we chose to let Bodhi pass away in June 2023 after a sudden deterioration. He was ill for less than a month; we eventually learned he had hepatic neuroendocrine carcinoma, which had aggressively spread through his stomach and abdomen. This type of cancer is very rare, especially in a young, healthy dog, and there was no surgical or treatment option available. He was 5 years old, and until that point, had never had a health issue. He relished every adventure, never failed to bring his whole heart to every day; the incomparable dog of a lifetime.
