It’s been a lovely, lazy bank holiday. The dogs are chilling, lazing in the spots of sun that are drifting past.

Dylan had his back done again on Saturday by Kath, I had a feeling his shoulders weren’t right and they weren’t. I’ve spoken a little bit about Dyl’s conformation before; he hasn’t got much front or rear angulation, and that means he can’t jump as better built dog would. I think that most of Dylan’s jumping style is down to training and confidence, which is why I don’t use his conformation as an excuse. However, I can’t change how he’s built so I will never expect him to float around the jumps, and it does mean he takes more weight on his shoulders when he jumps than a normal dog would and that can result in injury.

I can tell already that his movement is better, and he’s much more relaxed in himself, back to his cheeky ways. The girls are having a lovely time too, rather enjoying the Dyl-free walks!
