Mollie

Mollie's 2008 Review

I never set any goals with Mollie. Mainly because she’s not my dog; unlike Kim and Dylan, I don’t get final say over her training and competing, or over her diet and her exercise, or anything else related to her career as a sporting dog.

But the other reason is that Mollie isn’t the kind of dog who works like that.

She’s stayed overnight at the vets three times this year for minor surgeries (stitches, usually!) and that’s a quiet year for Mol. She’s gained her Flyball Dog Graduate (3000pts) award and got a clear round in one of the four Veterans Jumping classes she competed in this year. She runs 5.1s singles times in flyball and is the Owlers oldest active competitor at 9 years old. She fell off a 6ft wall last week and still thinks she’s invincible.

She’s totally loving, totally fearless, and totally stupid. She’s clumsy and affectionate and aloof with people she doesn’t know, she’s reckless and hairy and mad as a hatter. She only knows one way to live and that’s by doing everything 110%.
