Training

I have really unimaginative post titles at the moment. It’s hard to come up with stuff like that!

Patience on rebuilding seesaw confidence has paid off, we had no run-bys this week and it was actually a faster seesaw than before (albeit without a stop, but I’m not worried about that). Didn’t push and do loads, just a few before we ran the course and then within the course itself. Stopped and rewarded after every one, I’ll skip it next week and hopefully we’ll be ok for Bakewell.

Dylan feels very quiet to run right now. He gets called thunderpaws quite a lot because he’s not light on his feet, but at training this week he was jumping very lightly. I can’t quite describe it, it’s not as usual but in a good way. His core strength is miles better since I actually started working on it and now his shoulders/back is feeling better maybe he’s just using his body differently, but that sounds like too nice an explanation. I expect thunderpaws-Dyl back any day now!

Mollie also did some training, I wish I’d taken the camera. She’s so awesome, so 100mph, so slightly-blind. She ran for Emma and then I had a go too, so Emma ran Dylan (Emma is the only other person Dylan will run for, and we daren’t test that in competition. Although …) whilst I tried to remind Mollie that she could actually weave. She remember, eventually, and didn’t bite me, so highfives all round. Love Mol.
