Flyball

Kim injured herself earlier this week and went lame, with just 5 days to go until the Flyball Summer Championships. Luckily it wasn’t serious, just a strain in her shoulder, and she’s been on lead-walks and rest since it happened. Unfortunately it did mean she had to miss training last night, (which didn’t go down well!) but she’s raring to go this morning with no sign of a limp at all, so I’m sure she’ll be fine for the weekend.

I’m really excited, we’ve never had the opportunity to qualify before and our team have drawn really well as Seed 2 in Division 8. We were seeded with 20.11 and have since run under 20seconds since, and our team is really running well at the moment. We’ve had our share of bad luck — one of the dogs on the team, Meg, had stitches removed on Monday, and Kim has been injured (see above!) — but it’s all coming together. I will definitely try and get some videos of the team. I wish I was staying on Sunday to see our top team in Division 2 (and hopefully breaking that 18seconds!) but we have a kitchen to build. Sometimes an oven and hot food is more important than flyball, unfortunately!

Dylan has also been learning to flyball again this week, and we managed to video a few of his “runs”. Go and have a look!
